Marijke Noens and Stuart Spoede have joined the team at Passarella &
Associates, Southwest Florida’s premier full-service ecological
consulting firm, where they are responsible for wetland
jurisdictional determinations and permitting; environmental
construction inspections; environmental impact assessments;
ecological assessments; listed species surveys; and wetland
monitoring.
A graduate of University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in
wildlife ecology and conservation, Noens joined Passarella &
Associates as an environmental technician. While in Gainesville, she
worked as a lab assistant and volunteered at the Jacksonville Zoo,
and with International Student Volunteers in Australia, where she
set up educational irrigation systems and extracted exotic plant
species.
Spoede holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic and State
University in Blacksburg. Prior to joining Passarella & Associates
as an ecologist, he was an environmental scientist responsible for
site assessments, cleanup oversight of a Lee County land parcel
purchased for conservation, and soil, surface and air sampling.
Both are members of the Florida Association of Wetland Professionals
and the Society of Wetland Scientists and recently completed several
continuing education courses, including Environmental Permitting 101
with the South Florida Water Management District and Plant
Identification training.
Passarella & Associates was founded in 1996 and now has one of the
largest staffs of professional ecologists and environmental
