Jan. 15, 2008 - Marijke Noens and Stuart Spoede have joined the team at Passarella & Associates, Southwest Florida’s premier full-service ecological consulting firm, where they are responsible for wetland jurisdictional determinations and permitting; environmental construction inspections; environmental impact assessments; ecological assessments; listed species surveys; and wetland monitoring.

A graduate of University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology and conservation, Noens joined Passarella & Associates as an environmental technician. While in Gainesville, she worked as a lab assistant and volunteered at the Jacksonville Zoo, and with International Student Volunteers in Australia, where she set up educational irrigation systems and extracted exotic plant species.

Spoede holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in Blacksburg. Prior to joining Passarella & Associates as an ecologist, he was an environmental scientist responsible for site assessments, cleanup oversight of a Lee County land parcel purchased for conservation, and soil, surface and air sampling.

Both are members of the Florida Association of Wetland Professionals and the Society of Wetland Scientists and recently completed several continuing education courses, including Environmental Permitting 101 with the South Florida Water Management District and Plant Identification training.

Passarella & Associates was founded in 1996 and now has one of the largest staffs of professional ecologists and environmental scientists in Southwest Florida. The firm is dedicated to helping clients achieve the right balance between development and sustaining the unique environmental resources of the region. For more information, call 239-274-0067.
