2007 – Debbie Tyson, an ecologist with Passarella &
Associates, has been elected to a second term as president of the
Southwest Chapter of the Florida Association of Environmental
Professionals.
Tyson, a graduate of University of Florida, serves on the board with
two other Passarella & Associates staff members: Ecologist Jennifer
Evans is serving her second term as secretary, and Ecologist Alicia
Kruse is membership director. Evans is a University of Delaware
graduate, and Kruse holds a degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.
At Passarella & Associates, the women provide environmental-impact
assessments, listed-species surveys, wetland monitoring and other
ecological services.
The local FAEP chapter, one of nine in the state, includes nearly 100
environmental professionals from Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Desoto,
Sarasota, Hendry and Glades counties. It is affiliated with the
National Association of Environmental Professions and is charged with
furthering the quality of the practice of the environmental
professional in Florida.
