Big Cypress Stewardship District, Collier County

Sharing the belief that environmental health depends on economic sustainability, long-term planning and a deep connection between land and people, Collier Enterprises has enlisted Passarella & Associates in planning the Big Cypress Stewardship District. The plan will safeguard natural ecosystems, protect rare and endangered species, preserve agricultural viability and guide development in a sustainable, compact form. New hamlets, villages and a town will be interconnected by a network of trails, parks and preserves, and more than 25,000 acres of natural land and historic ranches and farms will be permanently preserved and protected in rural Eastern Collier County.

A development planned under Collier County’s Rural Lands Stewardship Program, project construction will span three decades and recognize the economic value of conservation lands and open space.
