Services performed included obtaining an Approved Wetland Jurisdictional Determination from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the site, which included both isolated freshwater, as well as jurisdictional freshwater and saltwater wetland determinations. The Approved Jurisdictional Determination required coordination with the project surveyor and engineer, as well as site reviews and coordination with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff.
Other services included both a database and field survey of the site to determine the potential utilization of the project by plant and/or wildlife species listed as threated or endangered. The database review included documented listed species occurrences as reported by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Passarella & Associates ecologists walked parallel transects for the entire site to search for listed plant and wildlife species or their signs during the field review. A report was prepared for the client outlining the results of the survey.
