Services performed by Passarella & Associates included obtaining an Approved Wetland Jurisdictional Determination from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the site, which included jurisdictional saltwater wetlands designated as Traditional Navigable Waterways. The Approved Jurisdictional Determination required coordination with the project surveyor, as well as site reviews and coordination with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff.
Other services included critical line verification with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Office of ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) to determine the presence and extent of the OCRM-jurisdictional saltwater wetlands (Critical Area) on the project site. The review verified the presence of Critical Area in the form of saltmarsh habitat in the southern portion of the project, as well as those areas associated with Molasses Creek along the northern property boundary. The Critical Area verification necessitated coordination with the project surveyor and a site review and coordination with OCRM staff.
